Zanzibar carefully picked his way along the rocky trail. Riley rode atop him her eyes scanning for a cave. After years of trying to figure out the riddle on her locket she had figured it out. Now she searched for the lengendary twin blades of true heart.

Brosh was padding along silently, trying to figure out where he was, and wich critters were worth the effort to hunt. his sense of direction was messed up, it was as though he had walked through a doorway to another world. faintly he heard something, he stoped, the noise grew louder, below him a creature was folowing some kind of trail. he croched low and watched. as it passed he folowed wondering where it was going and if it could help him.

Meanwhile.... (saph does not no riley and zanzi yet.) saph watched from her perch higher on the mountain. The Horse had sensed her a couple of times but her silver coat blended in with the pale rocks. She then noticed something hiding on the side of the trail. "food?" she asked herself. she then shrunk down, dropping into a hunters crouch. She then turned down a bolder protected game trail. She weaved her way through the srubs and rocks, slowly creeping down the moutain. As she crept she kept one on her possible prey(aka arianovan) and riley and saph. She then lept out from the edge of the trail (she had slowly crept down there) and pounced atop the thing behind the bush....

as soon as brosh regained his balance( which being feline did not take long) he crouched into a fighting stance. mentally releasing the latch on his back so that his Armour sprung into place(which was one of the more ingenious designs from the lord of shieldforge). looking at the dragon he calculated his next move. instead of fighting ( he was in no condition to be doing so) he sprang down the path, coming to a corner he sprang up onto a ledge and crouched in the shadows.

"A wild cat," saph thought and growled. Being part wolf she was not fond of them but this one was in bad shape and so she let it pass with a warning roar/bark. She then continued to follow riley and zanzibar...

On the other side of the trail a wolf was watching the action. "tff" she said the dragon like thing had just let some easy prey go. The wolf looked down at the horse and the rider. she reconized her immidiently, that was the girl with the locket the one she was destined to help!

With that saph contiued to curiously follow riley and saph. Her ears were perked up listening to the world around her for she felt as she was being watched. She crept along the trail carefully climbing over rocks and srubs so she would not slip.
Riley and zanzibar felt like they were being watched. They made their way down the narrow trail carefully. Riley's hand rested on her daggers hilts her senses telling her that danger may be about.

Shella barked Saph had seen her no need of being quiet now Shella crouched in a stalking position moving slowly towards Saph. She was now 5 feet away from Saph. She stopped "who are you"

Finally, Brosh was relieved of hunger, he had com to a fairly large stream swarming with fish. He filled his stomach with there flesh. He found a relatively smooth tree limb and took a nap, letting his body digest. He awoke to the sound of a large fish plopping down into the water. After stretching out he decided to follow the stream. Before long he came to a path, he smelled the creature that had attacked him earlier. Growling softly he stalked down the path. his pads made no sound.

"that is for me to know and for you to find out." she replied to the wolf her hackles raised. She then turned tail and completely ignored the wolf, following riley and zanzibar.

How rude! Shella crossed the path back to her side. Someone something was following her (she does not know it but it is Brosh). Ignoring that sense on she walked. She kept one eye on Saph and the other on Zanzibar and Riley.

stupid beast saph thought. She did not regard creatures who could not read very high. Though she knew wolves were intelligent none of them could read. she continued stalking riley and zanzibar placing her feet stedily in front of each other.
zanzibar and riley were still on edge but finally the cave was in sight..

Oh how I hate that dragon thing! Shella thought. Most dragons think they are the best, the smartest, the fastest, the most cunning! That is why I generally hate dragons! Shella thought growling. Shella was sick of waiting for Riley and Zansibar to realize they were followed. She decided it was time to show herslef... Crouching low ready to jump right infront of Riley and Zansibar, Shella took a glance behind her she caught a glimps of Brosh. She quickley looked back at Riley... She jumped. She was now standing tall infront of Riley and Zansibar. She looked majestic as the wind rustled her fur.
