Here is a Haiku I wrote for a book I was working on. The Haiku is all in Japanese, which is the way Haikus are intended to be. I will write it in romanji and have an english traslastion under it since I can not actually type the Japanese characters in here.
Kaze kiku to- Ki shi no hanasu ku- Ki de chi kagu.
Note that the Japanese translation follows the 5,7,5 rule for the sylables, but the english can not, and will not be able to follow that pattern. Here is the translation i n English:
Hear the wind, As it speaks of death, Smell the blood in the air.
You can post any comments you wish on here, you can try to decide what you think it means. Any opinions are completely valid. Once you are done deciding, I will tell you what the poem actually is about.

It sounds almost like it's talking about a battle field or some atrocity. I dunno, I'm not very good at trying to interpret poetry. (It confuses me.)

Yeah, most people think that that is what my poem means when they read it. But really it was for a book I was writing about vampires. I have given up on that story a while ago. There are simply too many vampire novels out there.
